The textbook presents the basic knowledge of the theory of fluid mechanics, examines the laws of fluid balance and flow. The physical properties of fluids, fluid balance conditions, fluid pressure force calculation, and examples of fluid flow are discussed in it. In addition, the examples of calculation of long and short pipes and pipelines are provided. After each chapter, control questions are presented to consolidate the knowledge.
The textbook provides numerous examples of practical problems solutions that will help to comprehend theoretical knowledge.
The textbook is prepared for undergraduate students from higher education institutions in Lithuania and abroad. It will be offered to students whose study programmes include „Fluid Mechanics“ or similar courses.
