From old times to present FORTRAN is a powerful tool for various and, it is also could be said that it is suitable for almost all applications of engineering challenges to be solved, especially if the numerical values need to be processed for many times. FORTRAN allows you not only to deal with elementary arithmetic tasks (such as add two numbers), but also with the complex scientific problems (for example, modeling the movement of vehicle or studying the transport infrastructure roadside deflection of metal structures, etc.). The purpose of the publication is to introduce the non-computer technology specialists (for example, transport engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.) starting to develop the application programs for engineering challenges to be solved through FORTRAN algorithmic programming language. FORTRAN – the FORmula TRANslator, therefore, all the examples stated in the publication are in the estimated direction.
