The textbook is intended for delivering lectures for the module “Electrical equipment of rolling stock” (TIGEB08009), also for conducting practical training and laboratory works in the course on railway transport engineering studies. It may also be used by students of other universities and colleges who attend courses dealing with electrical equipment. This publication may be of interest to specialists investigating the composition of metro, trams, trolley-buses, hybrid rolling stock, as well as modern control methods of electrical drives and technical aids installed in them.
