Magistro mokslinis darbas: forma, struktūra ir procesas/Master thesis: form, structure, and process

The publication analyses peculiarities of the master final thesis and its preparation. The steps of scientific research work process are highlighted, as well as the role of the process participants in the period of research and thesis preparation, finishing and defence. It is shown how purposefully and continuously the time period of thesis preparation should be used for meaningful mastering of new knowledge and skills, gathering, accumulating and processing of reliable information, and public presentation of obtained research results to the scientific community. The volume, structure and contents of the master thesis are discussed, as well as requirements for editing. The criteria of intermediate reporting and the whole thesis evaluation are presented, the procedure of thesis submission and defence is described.

The publication is intended for master students and their supervisors, professors teaching at master studies, reviewers, and other members of the degree conferring committee.
