The textbook was prepared under “Fluid Mechanics” module programmes. The most important and most difficult programmes were analysed. It presents the main knowledge of fluid mechanics analysing the lows of fluid balance and flow. Physical properties of fluids, hydrostatic pressure and hydrostatic pressure force, plane and curvilinear surface, fluid flow equations, hydraulics losses, hydraulic calculations of pipes and pipe work, opening and nozzles are presented.
The examples of hydraulic calculation and test questions as knowledge consolidation are presented after each chapter. The examples of hydraulic calculation, which should facilitate provided homework in “Fluid Mechanics” module programs are presented in this textbook. There are descriptions of laboratory works with aim and procedures of the measurements and calculations in book.
