The book readers are introduced to the concept of landscape, its origin and development. Detailed discussions about Lithuanian natural landscape types, formation and development trends are given. The concepts of landscape interface and environmental and landscape management are also considered. The concept of landscape subject, areas and tasks of the culture landscape formation and patterns are given as well.

Detailed overview is done about urban landscape, Lithuanian urban development and the peculiarities of their formation, nature protection in Lithuanian cities.
