Course International Business Theory (with course project) (VVTVM17035) annotation

Course of International business management creates opportunity to understand the global aspects of a business - international trade, global economics, and, most importantly, how to navigate different cultures. The subject examines the main elements of the international business management process, such as international business planning, problems and priorities of the international business management. Students will get knowledge about the theories of the international business management, their structure and classification. Attention is also paid to aspects such as international business management processes, the main elements of them, international business planning and innovation strategies, technology transfer and international business administration. Topics such as international trade and international investment in the structure of the international business system, international transport and logistic, customs and insurance system are examined. Material will create understanding of international business and globalization processes, economic, political, legal, social, cultural aspects of the international business management.

Aim of course 

To get theoretical and practical knowledge in international business management needed for independent work and to write a scientific essay.

Learning outcomes: upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: Explain key theories and concepts of international business management and their classification and application in practice. Analyze global business environments, including economic, political, legal, social, and cultural factors influencing international business. Evaluate international trade and investment processes, including globalization effects, international competition, and market entry strategies. Apply international business management principles to planning, organizing, and controlling business activities in global markets. Demonstrate understanding of logistics, finance, and operational management in international business systems (e.g., supply chains, customs, taxation, and financial markets). Critically evaluate cross-cultural management issues and propose solutions for managing multicultural environments.

Faculty and course volume in credits: A 9-credit course of study for the Master's degree in the Faculty of Business Management.

Basic knowledge and skills required to study this course (if applicable): basic knowledge of economics and business management. Understanding of management fundamentals, such as planning, organizing, leadership, and strategy. Basic analytical and critical thinking skills for evaluating business problems.
