Course Global Supply Chain Management (VVTVM24304) annotation

This course aims to give students a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain performance. The course will delve into modern trends and challenges faced by global supply chains, their solution methods, methods and tools so that students acquire knowledge that helps contribute to the sustainable and sustainable use of resources and the environment in the production of products or the provision of services, including aspects of the entire supply chain. The course will focus on the analysis of good practices, the examination of successful implementation strategies, the analysis of effective sustainable development initiatives and their applicability in the environment of sustainable supply chain formation.

Aim of course

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the global supply chain performance and key management decisions assuring chain’s efficiency, sustainability and resilience.

Learning outcomes: To recall key supply chain functional areas and stages. To indicate the role of every particular stage in added value creation process. To categorize the main supply chain drivers leading to supply chain responsiveness and efficiency. To select proper methods and techniques assuring supply chain sustainability and resilience.

Basic knowledge and skills required to study this course (if applicable): Basic understanding of key logistic functions.

Faculty and course volume in credits: A 6-credit course of study for the Master's degree in the Faculty of Business Management.
