Processes and models of globalization, the theories of globalization and global economy, the principles of their analysis are investigated in the course of global economy. Students obtain during the studies the complex knowledge on the processes of economic globalization and their connection with economic development of regions, countries, with the changing technological environment, with the global changes in production, trade and services sectors, as well as with the global competition in the different markets. 

Aim of course

To provide students with complex theoretical and practical knowledge of globalization and the global economy and to develop the skills and competencies to analyze and practically evaluate the processes of globalization and the global economy, conduct scientific and practical research and present the results in scientific essays. In the scientific essay, the student according to the chosen topic: 1) clearly defines the main parameters of the research (scientific problem, research object, goal and objectives, methods of their solution, the benefits of the obtained research results), 2) presents reasoned conclusions.   

Learning outcomes: Student will be able to initiate the economic, business and managerial decisions to develop international economic relations under conditions of globalization of economics. Student will be able to complexly analyze the situation in global economy, to assess the possibilities and needs to develop international economic. Student will be able to prepare innovative strategies to the economic activities in  the global markets. Student will able to qualitatively make decisions in accordance with the challenges and needs of globalization of economy. Student will be able to examine and deal with complex atypical economic tasks, focused on global economic development conditions occurring problems in a new and unfamiliar environment, having limited information, through innovations. 

Basic knowledge and skills required to study this course (if applicable): Mathematics. 

Faculty and course volume in credits: A 9-credit course of study for the Master's degree in the Faculty of Business Management.

Upon completion of the course with a positive assessment, a Certificate of Completion will be issued, which is transferable to any higher education institution. Upon completion of the course module without a final assessment, a certificate of completion of the course is issued.
