Course Human Resource Management (VVVKM24209) annotation

The course examines activities dedicated to managing employment relationships within companies. Human resource management (HRM) as a system, organizational structure and design, competency-based human resource planning, and the main HRM practices are discussed. The link between performance outcomes and employee well-being is reviewed. Attention is paid to concepts, systems and theories related to employee motivation, including engagement, commitment, participation, employee voice, and others. Contemporary trends in HRM are presented. 

Aim of course

To form a theoretical understanding of human resources management and to learn to apply HRM skills in practice.

Learning outcomes: Ability to apply a systematic approach to analysing, evaluating and modelling human resource management strategies, solve human resource management tasks, integrate subject knowledge when evaluating and developing tools necessary for making effective human resource management decisions and conducting research in the area of HRM.

Basic knowledge and skills required to study this course (if applicable): General Management.

Faculty and course volume in credits: A 6-credit course of study for the Master's degree in the Faculty of Business Management.

Corporate social responsibility, sustainability and ethics in HRM

Upon completion of the course with a positive assessment, a Certificate of Completion will be issued, which is transferable to any higher education institution. Upon completion of the course module without a final assessment, a certificate of completion of the course is issued.
