Course Managing Sustainable Development Projects of Organizations (with Course Project) (VVTVM24202) annotation
Project management for sustainable organizational development is a field of project management that seeks to integrate sustainability, green principles and practices into project planning, implementation, and evaluation. This means that projects not only consider economic, social, and ecological goals, but also contribute to the ability of organizations to adapt to changes and improve their operations in the long term. During this study subject, students will learn the application of the concept of sustainable development and green growth at the level of project management of the organization, will understand the necessity of sustainable projects, will learn the stages of the project management cycle, will be able to apply methodologies and standards suitable for managing sustainable projects, and will be able to analyze and evaluate the impact of projects. The aim is for students to develop a responsible and conscious approach to the management of projects aligned with sustainable development, and to be able to reflect on the consequences of their decisions for the social, economic, and environmental areas.
Aim of course
The aim of this study subject is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to manage sustainable development and green projects in organizations. Students will become familiar with the principles of sustainable development and their application in the context of project management. They will learn to analyze and evaluate the impact of projects on the social, economic, and environmental aspects. Additionally, they will develop the ability to plan, implement, and monitor sustainable development projects of organizations, considering their complexity, risks, and interest groups.
Learning outcomes: students will master sustainable development principles within organizational project management, learning to analyze environmental, social, and economic impacts while applying modern project management methodologies to draft comprehensive sustainability documentation.
Faculty and course volume in credits: A 9-credit course of study for the Master's degree in the Faculty of Business Management.
